About Our Practice

Clinic History

Connecticut Feline Medicine and Surgery is Dr. Miller’s second veterinary practice. She owned a cat clinic in Norman, Oklahoma for more than ten years. After selling this practice in 2011, she and her husband relocated to Connecticut (Chris is a Manchester native). There they established Connecticut Feline Medicine and Surgery, which served the area until relocating to East Hartford in 2022. Now located in the historic Clifford building, Connecticut Feline is happy to serve the surrounding community as well as the many loyal clients who followed us across town borders.

Paige

Paige
Customer Service Representative

Paige joined CT Feline in April of 2024 as a customer service representative. Her favorite part of working at CT Feline is hanging out with Sebastian, and her least favorite part is trying to prevent him from helping himself to the unopened bags of cat food in the reception area. She holds a degree in psychology and is a trained tattoo artist.

Erica

Erica
Practice Manager
Erica joined Connecticut Feline in 2022. Having been a lifelong cat enthusiast she was thrilled to find a practice that was feline-focused. At the clinic she is responsible for day-to-day operations and big picture growth. Her favorite part of working at Connecticut Feline is the dedication of her team, which she says makes the difference between adequate veterinary care and exceptional veterinary care. Erica holds a MA in English literature and is currently working towards her PhD. She lives in the country with a bunch of cats.

Summer

Summer
Veterinary Technician
Summer began her journey at CT Feline as a high school volunteer in 2013 and slowly worked her way up from a part-time cleaner, to a veterinary assistant, to a student technician, and finally to a CVT once she graduated with her degree in veterinary technology from Northwestern Connecticut Community College in 2016. In her free time, she takes care of her own mini zoo at home that includes a variety of snakes, lizards, invertebrates, and, of course, kitties.

Ashley

Ashley
Veterinary Assistant

Ashley was hired in 2021 and she has been an integral part of our team since. As a Veterinary Assistant, she helps our patients feel at ease and helps their people understand everything about their cat’s treatment. Ashley supports our team in countless ways and we are happy to have her here! She lives with her husband, their cat, dog, sugar glider, and other assorted pets and works part time as a caretaker at a zoo.

Kathy

Kathy
Customer Service Representative
Kathy's favorite components of her customer service role include working with the amazing and compassionate team at Connecticut Feline and getting to know our adorable patients and their families. As clinic-cat Bernie's number-one fan, she also enjoys making up silly songs for him while he eats his lunch and dinner. Kathy is an instrument-rated private pilot and former history teacher who lives with her husband Ed and their cats Marty McFly and Clark Kent.

Jay

Jay

Jay is our cleaner and organizer. They joined our team in 2019 and play an integral part in keeping our clinic and hospital clean and tidy!

Bernie

Bernie
Chief Solar Energy Officer
Bernie came to us as a tiny kitten with a head injury back in 2015. Dr. Miller and our staff nursed him back to health and he has become our live-in clinic kitty and mascot. Bernie has some special needs so he’s not always available for meet and greets but he appreciates his adoring fans. Follow our social media accounts for #BernieFridays!

Bashie

Bashie
Head of Mischief
Sebastian (“Bashie”) was rescued from a life outside by a kind client. When he was trapped he was in very bad condition, and we thought he was going to lose one or both eyes, but he recovered! While in convalescence Bashie bonded with Bernie, and we decided to let him stay with us as our second clinic kitty. When not engaged in troublemaking Bashie can be found napping, often in a staff member’s lap or on a dark chair where he can practice his camouflage.
